Hi! Welcome to 5th Grade. My name is Megan Alvarado  and I am your child’s 5th grade ELAR teacher.

I graduated from Texas State University with a degree in interdisciplinary studies and minor in Family and Child Development. I have taught 5th grade ELAR and worked with all the grade levels, and have also had the opportunity to be a reading tutor for NEISD.

I was born and raised in San Antonio and am the oldest of 3 siblings. I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I was in 3rd grade. I also have one dog and my favorite color is pink!

I can’t wait to share my passion for reading and learning with you and your children! It’s going to be a great year!
