Hello! I teach Art 1 at Harris Middle School! I hold a BA in Professional Art from Doane College in Crete, Nebraska and an MA in Art History (with an emphasis in 19th Century American Art) from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. I am certified in Art and Special Education. This is my second year teaching at Harris. Prevously, I taught both virtually and in person at three different elementary schools in a Maryland school district.

I enjoy camping, hiking, and exploring the world through food, history, and the arts. As a professional artist, I frequently complete commissioned portraits of children and pets using watercolor or colored pencil. 

My classroom is all about inclusion, artistic growth, and the development of visual literacy. I firmly believe that art is for everyone and everyone can create art!
