• Class descriptions:
    Drawing II: Students develop and express original ideas and experiences through a variety of drawing media; explore and analyze art history and culture; and evaluate artwork through discussion and critique.
    Drawing III: 
    Students express original ideas and experiences; solve visual problems by developing solutions that utilize design and technical skills; expand ability with drawing media; explore and analyze art history and culture; trace the influences of various cultures on contemporary artwork; develop a personal portfolio and evaluate artwork through discussion and critique.
    Drawing IV: 
    Students, through self-directed investigations, develop themes to produce an original body of artwork. The students analyze and interpret art history and culture; develop a personal portfolio and participate in a senior exhibition; analyze a wide range of artwork; and work toward mastery of drawing media.

    GOOGLE CLASSROOM:  Students will join google classroom following the code for their class period.

    SUPPLY LIST:  All of these can be purchased in our $20 drawing kit or on your own. Students will need these materials for this class. 

    Supply fees can be paid by cash, check, money order, or through the School Cash Online System (https://neisd.schoolcashonline.com/).  Please put the payment in a sealed envelope labeled with the student’s name and course and return to Mrs. Thomas

    A receipt will be given to each student when the payment is received. (Cash online would be best because of COOVID)

    Additional Materials:
    --Students will be provided with a large portfolio for their artwork and paper to assemble a sketchbook.
    --Students may purchase a 9 x 12 or 5 ½ x 8 ½ sketchbook for this course.  Pages should be good quality paper (not thin, newsprint) and unlined. (Sketchbooks can be purchased locally at stores, such as H-E-B, Wal-Mart, Target, Big Lots, Dollar Tree, and Dollar General.  Office Depot, Michael’s, and Hobby Lobby)
    --Students should bring a regular No. 2 pencil with a good eraser to class each day.
