2020 Maverick Film Festival

Participants

• Students producing the film must be currently enrolled at Madison.
• Adult and non-Madison student involvement in the project is limited to onscreen talent and will not be eligible for awards.

Time Limits and Entries

• Film entries shall be 30 seconds to 5 minutes in length. (exceptions can be made)
• Time limits does not include intros and credits.

Eligible Material

• Submitted films must be original
• All used content must be credited within the film (music, stock footage, etc.), (no more than 10% of flm can be stock footage)
• Any films produced during your enrollment at Madison may be submitted.
• Films may not contain:
  • Profanity
  • Simulated sexual Immorality
  • Simulated alcohol/tobacco/drug use
  • Simulated or actual nudity
  • Laws being broken
  • Political/Religious Messages

Entry Procedures

• Video Submission Deadline – April 24th, 2020.
• Video Specifications
  • Resolution – 1080p
  • Format - .mp4
  • Film Festival will take place May 14^th at the Alamo Drafthouse.

    Just submit your BEST and most creative photo. No rules to it. I tiwll be judged techinically and artistically.

    Photo Themed Collection: 5 Photos

    You must submit 5 photos that have an identified theme. You choose the theme so you can be vaguely creative if needed.

      • Designs must be created in vector format. 

        - Designs must be created with Illustrator or any vector-based software

        - Designs must be in .jpeg or .png format. When uploading .png files, make sure you have a white background.

        - Minimum file size: 680 pixels wide x 490 pixels high, RGB format 300res/dpi.*

    Graphic Designs are typically done for commercial purposes and all linework and color is done very clean. No evidence of sketch lines. Targeted towards a specific audience.

      - Designs must be created with Photoshop or any raster-based software

      - Designs must be in .jpeg or .png format. When uploading .png files, make sure you have a white background.

      - Minimum file size: 680 pixels wide x 490 pixels high, RGB format 300res/dpi.*

    Illustrations are viewed as fine art and is more concerned about creative interpretation. Think art class. Can appear sketchy.
