• Lopez Middle School Choir



    1. Cultivate a choir family dynamic in which each member works to uplift, inspire, motivate, and celebrate one another through daily awareness of how we speak to and treat each other.
    2. Honor each rehearsal and lesson:
      1. Always come prepared to rehearse
      2. Practice OUTSIDE of class to ensure consistent growth
      3. Rehearse with discipline and passion
      4. Work to connect with each piece in a genuine way
      5. Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment
    3. Always strive to be MUSICIANS not simply “singers”
      1. Make reading your music a top priority
      2. Sight-read daily with determination
      3. Produce each sound with thoughtful technique
    4. Excel in performance and competition
      1. 35 students earn spots in the All-Region Honor Choir
      2. All UIL competing ensembles earn “Sweepstakes”
      3. 7th and 8th grade choir members earn “Superior” at the Bayou City Music Festival in Houston, TX
      4. 6th grade choir members earn “Superior” at the Kidz in the Park festival in Seguin, TX
      5. Perform each school concert and event with a high level of musicianship and professionalism
