SkillsUSA is a Career and Technical Student Organization that partners students, teachers, and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. Skills USA is open to any CTEC student enrolled in a Construction or Transportation Academy programs. Skills USA provides educational programs, events, and competitions that support career and technical education in the nation’s classrooms. HOSA is an international student organization who promotes career opportunities in the healthcare industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA provides a program of leadership development, motivation and recognition for high school students interested in pursuing a career in health professions. CTEC does not have its own HOSA chapter, however, each one of the NEISD seven comprehensive high schools does. Students can use information learned at CTEC to participate in their high school’s HOSA organization. Interested students should contact their teacher for more information.
