Homework:

The only homework Social Studies students will have is if they did not finish an assignment in class.

Policies (late work, re-take quiz/tests):

Yes, I take late work, which receives a 20% deduction. According to district policy, students have until the progress report cut-off dates or until the unit is assessed to complete and submit late work. I mark the assignment as Msg (missing) which=0 Skyward if it was not received on the due date (this includes work from absences that may earn full credit when turned in within 2 days after returning).  

Assignments, tests, and quizzes that earned less than a 70 can be resubmitted with corrections for a grade up to 70. This does not count for assignments that were LATE and earned point deductions.

(Parent Communication) Bi-Weekly Eblast:

I send an email through Skyward every two weeks to parents using the email address provided in Parent Portal.  Please check your email. Make sure the correct email is listed in Skyward. If not, notify the office. Important information is sent to parents via email from the school so it is critical that we have your current email address in our system. 

Remind Texting:

I will periodically send Remind Texts to those students/parents who have signed up.
