  20-NEISD Magnet schools application opens online through February 6, 2023

  16-NEISD College/Career Night

  1-For current NEISD students, School Choice online application opens

  16-Last day of the 2nd nine weeks/1st semester

  3-Students' first day back after Winter Break

  10-8th graders visit Johnson High School

  17-Tejeda MS Course Fair 6:00-8:00 PM

  20-5th graders visit Tejeda

  23-HS Course Fairs at all high school campuses 6:00-8:00 PM; Course selection begins through February 17

  6-Deadline for completing Magnet School application online

  10-Deadline for students to turn in paper copy of course selection card and enter their course requests in Skyward

  24-Notifications sent to parents of students accepted into Magnet Programs (except NESA)

• March

  10-Last day of the 3rd nine weeks

  21-Open Den Night 6:00-7:30 PM

• April

  18-STAAR RLA 6th-8th grade

  15-STAAR Science 8th grade

• May

  2-STAAR Social Studies 8th grade

  3-STAAR Algebra End-of-Course exam

  4-STAAR Math 6th-8th grade (if students did not take Algebra)

  26-Last day of the 4th nine weeks/2nd semester; deadline for students and parents to submit course request changes for the 2023-2024 school year
