The 2015 Bond Program includes funding to construct walking tracks at 37 elementary schools and repair existing asphalt walking tracks at 6 elementary schools through seven separate design & bid packages as follows: (1) construct new 8 feet-wide, 675 feet-long walking tracks, with 2-inch porous-pave^® walking surface over washed gravel base material and geogrid system; (2) integrated 6-inch porous-pave^® header curbs; (3) accessible connecting pathway to the walking track; and (4) install landscaping to address all disturbed areas throughout the construction project.

To bid on any of the seven Bid Packages, contractors must be certified as a Porous Pave® installer. Proposals from non-certified contractors will not be accepted. There was a MANDATORY, free training/certification session (Porous Pave® - Pour-in-Place Permeable Paving Material - http://www.porouspaveinc.com) held at the North East ISD Community Learning Center, 8750 Tesoro Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78217 Room 202 on February 9, 2018, from 1:00 – 5:00 PM.
