My name is Miguel Avila, I am orginally from Devine, TX.  I was a police officer for 12 years before I began my career as an educator.  In addition to being a police officer, I am an active U.S. Army Reservist.  My background is in security/force protection of DoD assests that the U.S. Army is in control of.  I am married and have two children.  I love the outdoors and cooking.
