    Criteria for Technical Theater 9 Week NESA Critiques

    Attend a NESA performance, concert, reading, cinema event, or visual arts first Friday or VA end of year senior gallery hang during the 9 weeks. Write a critique about what you saw. What is in a NESA Tech critique?

    Did you like it? Why? Discuss the why. Acting, singing, dancing, music, the Cinema movie, the VA art, the CW reading; did you enjoy any of the production, just certain scenes, or all of it.

    Did the performance space enhance the production? Be detrimental to the production? Totally neutral? What was the space like? Which of the four types of theatrical production was the performance?

    How was the audio? Were you able to clearly hear and understand?

    How was the lighting? Did you have only visibility? Did the lighting enhance the production?

    How were the costumes? Good, bad, great? Helped or hurt the production?

    The critique will need to be printed or typed unless you have a legible/drafting style of handwriting. Show me your handwritng 1st before you write the critique if you are doing it by hand.

    No critiques will be accepted electronically, except through the NEISD Tech Google Classroom ap.  If you need to know how to join Google Classroom please see me.

    No critiques will be accepted by email, text or cell phone. Any critiques sent to me electronically will be read but not graded. Remember Google Classroom is the only exception to receiving electronically.

    REMEMBER A CRITIQUE IS 10 PERCENT OF YOUR 9 WEEK GRADE. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, NOT THE TEACHERS, TO SEE THE PRODUCTION AND GET IT DONE!
