Campbell Trophy, which recognizes the most impactful student-athlete in college football.

During his time at UTSA, Leonard made some notable achievements off the football field, as well.  From 2011 to 2012, Leonard wrote a weekly blog for the Huffington Post titled “Diary of a College Football Player,” which chronicled the trials and tribulations of a Division I student-athlete.  In 2013, Leonard earned the UTSA Golden Feather Award, an award given to the UTSA student who best exemplifies ideal student leadership.  From 2013 to 2015, Leonard was a member of the UTSA President Ricardo Romo Advisory Leadership Council, which comprised a small number of student ambassadors who represented various departments of the university.  In 2014, Leonard wrote an article for, and, in that same year, earned the UTSA All-Sport Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award and the Conference USA Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award.

In 2015, Leonard graduated summa cum laude with a 3.99 GPA and a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education and a minor in Business Administration.  Most recently, Leonard was the Running Backs/Tight-Ends coach at Seguin High School, and, before that, was the Offensive Line Coach at San Antonio Memorial High School.  Coach Leonard is excited to come to Reagan as the Offensive Line Coach for the four-time consecutive district champion Rattlers. Coach Leonard will also be responsible for the JV soccer program.

Coach Leonard is married to the former Samantha Hamilton, and they are the proud parents of a 2-year-old Boston Terrier: Finn. Sam, also a UTSA graduate, is an interior designer with the San Antonio-based interior design firm-The Jordan Group.
