I was born and raised in San Antonio. However, I have fond memories from my childhood of traveling around Texas and New Mexico in my grandparent’s RV. It is from these experiences that I began to fall in love with people, places, and their histories. After high school, I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and received my degree in Geography. While completing my degree, I also began to work on my post-baccalaureate certification in Secondary Social Studies Education. I spent my first year teaching at Hondo High School and the following eight years at Johnson High School here in North East ISD. I am extremely excited to start my second year at Churchill as the Instructional Dean of Social Studies! I have been married for almost six years and have a daughter who is almost 5. I love spending time with my family, traveling, and being outdoors.
