All staff is working toward providing an education for your student that gives them the tools to be successful throughout life and be leaders in our society in their adulthood. We are a trained "Leader in Me" campus.

Our school's goal is to proceed toward a "path of greatness" and build better relationships. The Leader in Me philosophy teaches children that every student can be great. Positive results that occur because of using Covey's simple principles are increasing students' confidence, improving academic achievement, and decreased discipline referrals.

We will instill in your children the "7 Habits" that are described in Covey's book, The Leader In Me.

Habit 1: Be Proactive –"I’m in Charge – Everything starts with Me"
Students will make decisions to help themselves and take responsibility for their choices and the consequences of their actions.

Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind – "Have a Plan"
Students will be encouraged to look ahead to their life’s goals.

Habit 3: Put First Things First – "Work First then Play"
Students will put things in order from most important to least important. They will become more organized by managing their time better and making “to do” lists to help them be better time managers.

Habit 4: Think Win-Win – "Everyone Can Win"
Both students involved in situation or relationship win.

Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood – "Listen Before You Talk"
Students will be encouraged to listen with their eyes as well as with their hearts. This will lead to respect, caring, and positive problem solving.

Habit 6: Synergize – “Together is Better”
For a one word habit, this is one of the most important when trying to solve problems. Students will work in teams where everyone takes part in a positive way toward a mutual goal.

Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw - “Balance Feels Better”
It is important for everyone to balance their life by doing things they enjoy and taking care of themselves by eating healthy and exercising.
