    Every NEISD campus has a Registered Nurse (RN) ready to aide your student. Additionally, Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Clinic Assistants (CAs), supervised by the RN, are at designated campuses.

  • Hearing, vision, and acanthosis screenings start the week of October 16th. This applies to PreK, Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 5th, and students new to the district (which are also ongoing).

    Spinal screenings for 5th grade girls will take place early November, and will only be completed by female nurses, not the usual school nurse, Luke.

    School nurses are a primary resource in recognizing and managing children´s health problems. School nurses have the professional education and expertise to function successfully in the separate complete systems of education and health care. NEISD school nurses are committed to each child´s individual development and safety.
