Ms. Patricia Pixley

Hey Broncos! I am Ms. Patricia Pixley I have Joined the Northern Hills team as a special education Teacher. My passion is to bring joy to learning through creative teaching strategies making learning exciting and fun. I believe that children learn through play and will rise to the expectations set for them. I am excited to work with students to strengthen the foundations of academics and help students retain current curriculum. I find it imperative to focus on the overall social, emotional and wellness of a student as well as focusing on the academics.

I have worked with special needs students for more than 20 years in various environments, public school, private institutions, and in home. Previous to working at Northern Hills Elementary I worked for an Applied Behavior Analysis company in San Antonio as a Behavior Therapist for pediatric and geriatric special needs patients. I am ecstatic to have the privilege to be on the Northern Hills Elementary Special Education Team! My goal is to instill a passion for learning in each of my students this year!

I was raised the majority of my adolescent years in McAllen Tx. I graduated from McAllen High School and shortly after moved to San Antonio Tx. I acquired my bachelors degree in cognitive studies and earned my Teaching Certificate from Texas Teachers of Tomorrow. I am excited for a great year!
