Submit an Online Application (Required)
All online forms must be filled out by a parent or guardian.
The Design And Technology Academy at Ed White is a 6th – 8th grade, Pre-AP program, open to all eligible students, regardless of district boundaries. Prospective students must have passed their STAAR tests, have an
85 or better average (90, if out of district), and have good conduct. Students meeting the application criteria are selected through an open lottery process. If the number of applications exceeds the number of seats available, students will
be placed on a waitlist and notified when an open seat is available. Upon successful completion of the MS program, students will have automatic acceptance into the DATA HS program at Roosevelt.
Applications are accepted year round, but must be submitted by January to participate in the lottery.

Shadow Visit (Optional)
Parent or Guardian attendance is required.
Shadowing opportunities are limited to 25 students per day. Additional days may be added, due to demand. If no dates are available, please call the DATA office at (210) 356-5981 for further information.
Come and learn about what makes DATA Middle School unique, tour the campus, and speak with teachers and students about their experiences at DATA Middle School. Parents and students will go on separate tours designed to present information
relevant to each group. A member of our DATA Administrative Team leads parents, and one of our DATA Ambassadors leads students during the tour.
Shadowing is open to all students who would be eligible for submitting a lottery form for

Notification of Acceptance
Upon the close of the Lottery Form acceptance period, students will be notified of their acceptance, or of their placement on the Waitlist. All notifications will take place on the same date via email. Please refer
to the Lottery Form for specific details.
