Mr. Joseph Espinoza
Mr. Espinoza is a native of San Antonio, where he graduated from Highlands High School. Mr. Espinoza earned his bachelors in Music Education from Texas State University in 2016. In the Spring of 2016, Mr. Espinoza student taught with the Winston Churchill High School Band under the guidance of Mr. Tony Ruiz. Upon graduation, Mr. Espinoza received the distinguished honor of Outstanding Student in Instrumental Music Education from Texas State University.
Mr. Espinoza’s teaching credentials include having taught multiple woodwind masterclasses in Northside ISD, San Antonio ISD, and North East ISD. He has also served as a marching technician at Burbank High School for the 2014 and 2015 season, and has judged multiple Drum Major auditions in San Antonio ISD, Northside ISD, and Harlandale ISD.
Mr. Espinoza started his career at John Jay High School in Northside ISD, where he was in charge of both woodwind and percussion sections. During his two years at John Jay High School Mr. Espinoza also preformed with Fiesta Flutes. Mr. Espinoza’s professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Associaton.
Mr. Espinoza is in his first year as a Assistant Band Director at Winston Churchill High School. Mr. Espinoza teaches all woodwind sections in the band, Symphonic Band, and Jazz Band.
