Science
Our course work is geared toward students who are wanting to continue their study of science in the post-secondary. Students will have the opportunity to choose their focus in the fields of science, whether life science or physical science. Students who have taken our courses have reported being prepared well beyond their peers enrolled in their college course work.
For those students looking to demonstrate their knowledge outside of the classroom, it is highly encouraged that the students participate in Science & Engineering Fair. Previous STEM students have won awards at the International level of the Science & Engineering Fair.

Technology
Due to our vertical approach, students moving into our high school program from our middle school program have had extensive coding exposure and practice. Students in this pathway will earn their Technology endorsement with a focus on Programming and Software Development. During the course of their studies, students will become highly proficient in the use of Python and Java.

Engineering
This pathway is focused on preparing students for work in the world of engineering. In these courses, students will gain extensive knowledge of the Engineering Design Process. This includes providing students exposure to the different facets of engineering, including study in the areas of architectural, civil, manufacturing, mechanical and aeronautical engineering.
Students will demonstrate their knowledge through the use of a plasma cutter and a CNC mill. Additionally, students have access to 3D printers in order to print out specialized parts. To further demonstrate their knowledge of industry-level work, students will have the opportunity to gain industry-level certifications to include SolidWorks.

Mathematics
Our mathematics program has a problem-solving emphasis through accelerated courses. Through the advanced math track, students have the opportunity to earn college credit in Calculus AB, Calculus BC, as well as Statistics.
Students who enjoy and excel in mathematics are encouraged to become members of Mu Alpha Theta. Through this organization students can receive special recognitions, including scholarships, for their participation in mathematics competitions.

Manufacturing
Our manufacturing program is designed for those students who have an interest in delving deeper in to automation and how robotic integration impacts our involvement in the world around us. Students who are interested in learning how to design, produce and program robotics elements are encouraged to participate in this pathway.
Students who are enrolled in our Manufacturing courses will have the opportunity to participate in our world-renown FRC Robotics Team - Team 5572 - Rosbots!

About STEM
Mission
The purpose of the STEM Academy is to increase student achievement by engaging and exposing students to innovative STEM instruction while simultaneously acting as demonstration sites for math and science teaching and learning statewide.
In the context of a small, diverse learning community united by a common interest in the significant issues of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, the STEM Academy creates visions of future academic and career possibilities and enables students to translate those visions into the realities of college graduation, informed citizenship, and international leadership.
The STEM Academy serves as a model of problem-based, technology-rich curriculum that enables and empowers students and faculty to engage in professional learning environments where science and math serve as vehicles for discovery, innovation, and independent problem solving.
STEM HS Structure
Legacy of Educational Excellence (LEE) High School hosts 3 magnet programs, with each hosting more than 400 students. The magnet programs are:
International School of the Americas (ISA)
North East School of the Arts (NESA)
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) AcademySTEM Academy operates as a school-within-a-school model. STEM students take all of their core classes and STEM electives by receiving instruction from a STEM faculty member. All other non-core classes and elective courses are a result of collaboration with the LEE faculty.
NESA and STEM students are part of the LEE student body, and therefore ranked comprehensively within the entire grade level of LEE HS.
