Mrs. Linda Barraza
My name is Linda Barraza. Prior to coming to Cibolo Green, I taught at Roan Forest. I am married, with two children. It was just yesterday that I was at my own children's 5th grade end of year ceremony!!
Lu graduated from UT Austin, and currently works for a tech company in Austin. He plans to attend law school next year. Amanda graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Entomology (yuck, bugs!). She will continue as an Aggie this year pursuing her Master of Public Health. Since the house was too quiet, we have a four-legged child, a Yorki-Poo named "Teddy". He will do anything for food, and is sometimes my teaching assistant.
I am originally from Boston, Mass., (although I was actually born in Japan!!) I attended Boston University, then I graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Boston with a degree in Biology and Psychology (I also took some courses at UMASS-Lowell). I then moved to Texas, where my husband and I ran a small business for 12+years. During that time I took graduate business courses from UTSA.
After we closed our business, I began spending LOTS of time in my son's school volunteering and subbing. I decided on a (third) career in education, I completed my Master of Education (Elementary Education) degree at Wayland Baptist University here in San Antonio. In my "spare" time, I like to read and cook. I love to travel with my family, too.
Every year, I look forward to returning to work with the Cibolo Green Fifth grade team...we have an amazing group of teachers, and we all work together to ensure the success of every student. Your child will work with many, if not all, of the fifth grade teachers.
This year will be a wonderful one for your child...they will learn, grow, and mature at a pace that is astounding!
