Welcome parents and students! I am so honored and excited to work along side you and your student this year. As for my background, my degree is in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University and I am beginning my 25th year in education this school year.  

In my years in education, my experience has spanned from classroom teacher to District ESL Director to District Science Curriculum Coordinator, Academic Dean and an Assistant Principal. The common threads that flow through all of the positions I’ve held are professional growth, commitment, and a dedication to excellence. From each and every position, I have learned a different aspect of the educational system and have used that knowledge to become a more effective and skilled leader and communicator.

Although I learned quite a bit as an administrator, my passion has been and always will be teaching. There is absolutely nothing like seeing "the light turn on" in students' eyes when they finally get a concept or the enthusiasm that they share on a daily basis. Their zest for learning keeps me going and ensures that every day holds a new opportunity to engage the students in a way that they may not have been before. I hope that  my love for science and medicine is contagious and that the students grow to enjoy it as much as I do.
