Mr. Joseph Scutti

    Mr. Scutti is a New Jersey native who has now been living in Texas for 19 years. He is a graduate of Westminster Choir College in Princeton NJ, where he received his undergraduate degree in music education and graduated magna cum laude. He also earned his Masters degree in Music Education from the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware where he graduated with honors. He is one of 100 teachers nationwide to receive the Sallie Mae award for outstanding first year teachers and is a college faculty elected member of Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society. Mr. Scutti is celebrating 23 years of teaching; former positions include, Valley Forge Military Academy and College in Wayne Pa., Shue Middle School in Newark De., Lake Forest High School in Felton De., John Dickinson High School in Wilmington De., and Burnet CISD where he served as Head Choral Director. Mr. Scutti's choirs at Nimitz Middle Middle School has been invited to sing annually in the lobby of the AT&T Center, and was the only public school invited to sing "The National Anthem" for the Spurs for three years in a row. Mr. Scutti has directed the NEISD Community Choir which also has been invited to sing the "National Anthem" for the Spurs for four years in a row. He also serves as the Music Director and organist at Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church in San Antonio. He enjoys his position at Stahl Elementary School, and is happy to serve the the students at Hardy Oak Elementary as well.
