Hello and welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Mrs. Katherine Castro. I am happy to welcome you to our amazing Ridgeview family! It’s going to be a fun year, full of exciting adventures and lots of learning for your student! I can’t wait to learn all about you and your family, but first, here are a few things about me!

I was born and raised here in San Antonio, Texas. I am the youngest of three girls and love my family! I graduated from Texas A&M San Antonio with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I have taught both 2nd grade and Kindergarten but I have always LOVED Kindergarten! My experience in second has really helped me set goals for our year so that my students can be prepared for first grade! 

My husband, Diego, and I, have been married for three years. Together we have a mixed lab named Abby Castro and a cat named Lucy Castro. We enjoy game nights with family, going on dates to Starbucks, and taking Abby to the park. I like to think I am crafty and really enjoy long walks through every aisle in Target!

I am so excited to have you in my class this year and can’t wait to start our journey to becoming amazing leaders in everything we say and do!
