This is my 25th year working for NEISD! I was a classroom teacher for 22 years and taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. Three years ago, I took a position as the Targeted Support Teacher working to close gaps in instruction for grades K-5. I am now an Instructional Reading Coach for the district, working with teachers in grades 3-5. This is my 1st year as a Montgomery Mustang!

I was born in San Antonio but grew up in a small town near Corpus Christi called Woodsboro. I was very active in sports and always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I am the oldest child and have cherished my role as big sister. My family is very important to me.

I earned my BS in Education in 1997 from Texas State University. In 2007, I completed a Master of Education from UTSA. In addition, I am a certified Reading Specialist and hold a Master Reading Teacher certification for the state of Texas.

I have a wonderful husband and two amazing children. We love spending time with each other and our extended family. We enjoy visiting the beach, playing board games and camping in our beautiful Texas State Parks! We have visited over 40 of them!
