Mrs. Dawn Caussade
Teaching at Las Lomas Elementary School is thrilling! I helped open the school 10 years ago in 2012, and have enjoyed wearing the school colors of purple and gold ever since! Go Lions! I have taught a total of 26 years, gathering experience in grades 1-4, and I love going to school because each day is different and challenging. There is never a dull moment while teaching young people to discover new things about their world!
I have a wonderful family. They are scattered throughout the United States, but we love to travel and spend time with family. Mr. Caussade loves learning just as much as I do! He has a lot of knowledge tucked away in his brain! He loves books about history and loves to watch Sci Fi! My children are grown and live away from home now. I have one granddaughter and two grandsons!
I call Texas home, but I did not grow up here. I grew up on a large farm in southern Michigan. My husband's job has taken us to many new places, so I love sharing my experiences with my students. I have lived in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Ontario, (Canada), Maryland, Virginia and Texas. My travels have also taken me to all 50 states and Puerto Rico! I have also visited Mexico, Germany, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Austria and the Czech Republic. Besides traveling, I also enjoy reading a good book (when I am not grading papers). Cooking, gardening, cycling, and skiing are also fun!
