I grew up in the North East District and graduated from Trinity University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After teaching for four years at NEISD, I decided to stay at home with my family. After 12 years at home with my daughter and son, I returned to teaching and  enjoyed second grade at Huebner for 22 years. As our school celebrated our 20th year milestone, I was proud to know I had been a part of the opening ceremonies. Now, my passion for teaching science has led me to teaching 5th grade. Being departmentalized gives me the opportunity to share science activities with every fifth grade student. We will be actively engaged in hands-on investigations, STEAM projects, and gardening. I am thrilled to be part of encouraging a love of science and nature! I'm proud to say this is my 31st year of teaching! 

It is my wish for each individual in my class to have a mutual admiration and consideration of one another while continuously nurturing a desire to lead and learn. This, for me, is the ultimate teaching environment!
