Howdy!

My name is Tyler Fortenberry and I’ll be your student’s theater teacher this year. I would love to share a little bit about myself. I am the loudest and proudest member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie class of 2022, and I am ecstatic to be a Harris Hawk! I graduated with a B.S. in Political Science from A&M. I also studied educational theater at NYU for a year and playwrighting at Columbia College Chicago. In my spare time, I like to write plays, screenplays, and books. I also run, watch theater, and love to travel.

Our class mission statement is that “We hope to explore the world by acting in the shoes of others, which will teach us to be the leader who is dedicated, ambitious, and timely in their endeavors.” In our classroom, I expect to create a safe space where your student can explore the world through the words written by others. I am dedicated to creating an environment for your student that is conducive to learning how to interact and act within society. I'll encourage them to always search for ways to improve our world by thinking beyond the realm of what's possible. Through educational theatre, I invite my students to come and "see how the world could be in spite of the way that it is."
