Hello! My name is Mrs. Garrett! I am going into my 8th year as a 1st grade teacher. I graduated from St. Mary's University with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies specializing in Early Childhood to 6th Grade. I love working with kids and knew I wanted to become a teacher since I was 5 years old and would make my younger brothers sit through my pretend school. I have a passion for finding new and innovative ways to integrate technology into the classroom. To continue my own education I decided to go back to school, and in 2021 I received my Master's with an emphasis on Learning, Design, and Technology. In addition, I am a Google certified educator and working to become a Seesaw Ambassador.

When I am not teaching, you can find me traveling, going on outdoor adventures, playing sand volleyball, and spending time with my family and friends. 

First grade is where my heart is and each day your little bundle of joy walks into my classroom I promise to give my all to teaching, inspiring, motivating, and encouraging them. I want them to become the best version of themselves and reach their highest potential. I can't wait for this school year and I look forward to getting to know you all!
