I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX, and am a product of NEISD schools.  This is my 17th year teaching, all of which have been at Bulverde Creek Elementary.  I have taught 2nd, 3rd, special education and 5th grade.  

I have lived in San Antonio my entire life, with the exception of my four years at Texas State University. (Go Bobcats!) I have been happily married for thirteen years, and have two incredible kids, one at Tex Hill Middle School and one in third grade here at BCE.  

I am an avid reader, and rarely leave home without a book in some form.  I am still waiting on my letter from Hogwarts, but am making the most of my time here in the muggle world. I spend my summers out of the house with my kids as much as possible, and my school year trying to balance the many hats we all wear.  I love teaching and am excited to spend the year with my newest group of learners and leaders.
