Welcome Parent Letter

Dear Parents,                                                                                

Welcome to 5^th Grade, in room 46 at Steubing Ranch Elementary! My name is Mrs. Munoz, and I will be your child’s 5th grade teacher. I am truly excited and honored that you have entrusted me with your child’s educational achievements for the next 10 months. It is a privilege that will not be taken lightly. Together, we will learn and grow while never forgetting to have fun. 

Before we get to the rules and goals for this year, I would like to let you know a little bit about myself.  This is my 14-year teaching and I love it! I graduated from The University of Texas at Brownsville and Keller Graduate School with a degree in Master of Business Administration specializing in Human Resources.  

Here are some class procedures:

All instruction in my classroom will be in English and Spanish. Your child’s attendance is very important. If doctor or dentist appointments must be made during the day, we would appreciate you made them in the afternoon. Also, if your child will not be riding on his regular bus or will be picked up by someone other than you, we will need a written note. We will not release your child to anyone except you without written consent.

Reading at Home: Please ensure that your child gets at LEAST 20 minutes of reading per day, as this is part of their daily homework.

My conference time is between 1:40pm and 2:30pm every day. This is the time where you can come by and meet with me or call during the day.

Carta de Bienvenida

Estimados padres de familia,                                                              

¡Bienvenidos a 5 grado en Steubing Ranch Elementary! Mi nombre es Mrs. Munoz y soy la maestra de su hijo/a. Estoy muy feliz de que me hayan dado el honor de educar a su hijo/a por los próximos 10 meses. ¡Aprenderemos y creceremos juntos sin olvidar divertirnos en el transcurso!

Este es mi 14 año como maestra.  Permítan me hablarles un poco sobre mí.  Me recibí de la Universidad de Texas en Brownsville y Keller Graduate School con título en Maestrea de Administración de Negocios. En el futuro continuaré con mi educación, actualizándome para poder servir mejor a mis alumnos.

Estas son unas reglas de la clase:

La instrucción en mi clase será en inglés y español. La asistencia de su niño a la escuela es muy importante. Nosotros apreciáremos que usted haga las citas de médico o dentista por la tarde. Si su hijo no llega a utilizar el autobús regularmente, necesitaremos una nota escrita. Nosotros no dejáramos ir a su hijo con nadie que no sea Usted a menos que nos haga llegar un permiso por escrito que Usted no estará disponible para hacerlo y enviara a otra persona por él.

Leer en Casa: Favor de asegurar que su niño tenga por lo menos 20 minutos de lectura por día. Esto formara parte de su tarea diaria.

 Mi hora disponible para los Padres de Familia es entre 1:40pm y 2:30pm cada día. En este tiempo, usted puede venir a hablar conmigo si tiene cualquier pregunta.
