Ms. Gwen Rigdon

Ms. Rigdon graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelors of Science in Education. Soon after graduating, she was recruited by the Houston Independent School District and she and her husband moved to Texas. Ms. Rigdon taught K-5th grade with the Houston Independent School District for 12 years. While in Houston, Ms. Rigdon decided to go back to college and graduated with her Masters in Business Administration at the University of Houston.

Then she and her husband moved to San Antonio and started a family. Ms. Rigdon became a stay at home mom while working part time at Mr. Gatti’s. She taught fractions and healthy choices to elementary and  middle schoolers for educational field trips. As Ms. Rigdon’s children got older, she started tutoring students in preparation for college. She taught/tutored middle school math, pre algebra, algebra, geometry, consumer math, and public speaking for 5 years.

Now that Ms. Rigdon’s children are in college, she has gone back to public education full time. Her goal is to help students understand and love math while they have fun. She is looking forward to serving NEISD as a math accereration specialist.
