Mrs. Marjorie (Marci) McClain

Hello everyone!

This year is my lucky 13th year of teaching!  I have taught in Arizona and California and just started here in Texas last year.  My husband is in the Air Force, so I am lucky to get to move to new and exciting places!  I love San Antonio and adore Bush Middle School!  

Family:  As I said, my amazing husband is military.  We have two children.  Our fantastic son is at the University of Arizona (Go Wildcats!) and our fantastic daughter is here in San Antonio at UTSA (Go Roadrunners!)  Both of my kids were in my classroom as students when they were in middle school.  We have had three golden retriever dogs over the years.  Our last sweet doggie passed away this summer.  I miss her but feel very happy that I had 16 1/2 years with her.  No, we are not getting any more dogs or pets right now.  Maybe in a few years..........

I taught 7 years in AZ including 6th grade through Alg 1, GT, Honors, and regular math.  I also taught 6th grade math and science for 4 years in California.  I have a BA in Sociology from the University of Mary Washington (in Virginia) and an Masters of Education from the University of Phoenix.  I love teaching middle schoolers!  These students are smart, interesting, and a lot of fun to talk to!  

I call myself a nerd/geek/dork.  I love D&D, reading, amusement parks, and movies.  I love almost all music and love to have fun.  I hope that we are able to have a good time as we go through all this math!  My favorite color is purple and I love chocolate!  I had to give up coffee, but I'm starting to find some fun teas to try!!
