Masks no longer required at NEISD schools or facilities starting June 5

Today, Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order that prohibits governmental entities in Texas from requiring or mandating mask wearing after June 4. Therefore, North East ISD will no longer require face coverings beginning June 5, 2021, at any NEISD schools or facilities. This applies to all students, staff and visitors. Anyone who would like to continue to wear a mask may certainly choose to do so.
