Starting Monday, April 13, North East ISD will adjust its meal distribution services to Mondays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the same campus locations. This change is an effort to reduce exposure for our employees and community members by limiting daily contact. While the serving days have been altered, the number of meals available for students will remain the same.
Monday meal packages will contain meals for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday meal packages will contain meals for Thursday and Friday.
Some of the meals intended to be eaten later will be distributed frozen, and families will need to heat/thaw them when ready to eat. Food safety instructions in English and Spanish will be included.
NEISD’s Fresh Express bus program will also follow the new Monday/Thursday schedule.
