Circulation Policies:
Kindergartners and first graders check out one book. Second through fifth
graders may check out 2 books. Third through fifth graders may checkout a
magazine. All magazines are due the next day. Parents are welcome to
check out books also. Parents may come by to sign up and check out 6
books for two weeks.
Overdue Books:
A note will be sent home if a student has an overdue book. Please look for
the book and bring it back to the library. Students may not check out
another book if they have an overdue book. Books may be rechecked if they
are not finished reading.
Lost Books:
If a student has a lost book, please come to the library and let us know.
The child will receive a printout that tells them the cost of the book. They
will not be allowed to check out another book until the lost book is paid
for. The money will be used to replace the lost book. If the book is found
after it was paid for, please bring it to the library. We will refund the
money if it is turned in before Sept. 1st of the next year. A check will be
mailed to the parents.
Fines:
We do not charge fines for overdue books. Students will not be allowed to
check out another book if you have an overdue book.
Damaged Books:
If a book is damaged while it is checked out to a student, they will be
responsible for the cost of the replacement of the book. Even if your child
did not damage the book him/herself, they are responsible for it while it is
checked out to them. If a book is damaged, please come to the library with
the book. A note will be sent home stating the cost of the book. Students
will not be allowed to check out another book until the damaged book is paid
for.
