Texas Board of Health has added Hepatitis A to required
vaccines for attendance in school. Effective August 1, 2003, children born on or after Sept. 2, 1992 will be required to receive 2 doses of hepatitis A vaccine administered on or after their 2nd birthday. This is a series of two injections. You will want to start the series by January 2003 so that you can get both injections done by August 2003.
They are given 6 months apart.
