DRESSING FOR SUCCESS
![]() |
It is our belief that school performance and communication between adults and young people are enhanced by appropriate dress and grooming. Parents are strongly urged to enforce moderate hair styles and high standards of dress for their students. Parents will be serving the welfare of our students and helping us as educators by emphasizing standards of neatness, cleanliness, safety and decency in dress and grooming. Uniforms are required for all students enrolled at Ed White Middle School. The student’s uniform must fit properly, not to exceed one (1) size beyond the correct size and may not be modified in any way. This includes bagging or sagging. Parents should remove visible logos or they will be considered out of compliance. A student will not be permitted to attend class if their uniform is out of compliance with the uniform policy. |

Shirts/blouses must be completely and properly tucked in at all times when students are on the Ed White Middle School Campus. Students will be expected to have their shirts/blouses tucked in from the moment they arrive on campus in the morning, until they are completely off campus in the afternoon. This includes extra-curricular events, i.e., athletic events, band concerts, or any other functions in which the student is representing Ed White Middle School at another location. Parents will be expected to provide proper attire. Should their child arrive at school and not be in compliance with the school’s uniform policy, the child will be: 1) call home for proper attire, or 2) be placed in the Behavior Management Class (BMC) for the remainder of the day. Persistent noncompliance with the uniform policy will be considered insubordination. All other North East Independent School District policies will be enforced.
