Volunteer Program - Fun Facts

• In 2010-2011, over 11,000 parents, mentors, and community members participated in volunteering at NEISD schools.
• These volunteers logged over 330,000 hours working with our students.
• Each year, the Independent Sector Organization calculates the national average for the value of volunteerism. For 2010, this figure was $21.34 per hour. This means, the value of volunteerism at NEISD was over $7 million dollars.
• The district's top volunteer for 2010-2011 volunteered 1,647 hours.
• Since 1994, more than 110,000 people have registered to volunteer in our district.
