Tuscany Heights Elementary was awarded our official "Lighthouse" banner at the Leader in Me Symposium held in San Antonio, Texas on January 28th, 2016.
WE DID IT!!!
Tuscany Heights Elementary is the 168th school in the world to achieve Lighthouse Status!
In commemoration of this honor, two of our very own Junior Lighthouse members have written a letter to our community in celebration of all of our hard work at Tuscany.
Marcus Bissen, a 5th grader writes:
Hi, I'm Marcus. I am on the Junior Lighthouse Team. Guess what?? We have some great news!! Everyone has learned and used the Covey Traits along with showing outstanding leadership skills. We have been great at tracking and reaching our goals. All of our hard work has paid off. Tuscany Heights has become the 168th school worldwide to achieve Leader in Me Lighthouse Status!!!! We want to thank everyone who helped make this possible - Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. McCurry, the parent and student Lighthouse teams, the staff, PTA, parents, and you, THE students. Let's continue to be the light that leads!
Avery Schammel, a 5th grader writes:
Hi, my name is Avery, and I just wanted to say "Congratulations everyone!" We have achieved being a "Lighthouse School"! We couldn't have done it without all your help! Because we synergized and used all of our seven habits, we are the 168th lighthouse school worldwide. Don't forget to keep working towards our goals and try to be here everyday. Make sure to give a big "thumbs up" to Mrs. Bailey and Mrs. McCurry if you see them in the hall because after all, they're a big reason we are a "Lighthouse School"!

International Make you Mark Day was celebrated at Tuscany on September 15, 2015! Student leaders presented their leadership binders and spoke about Tuscany's leadership for about 40 guests from our community. Our guests were then given student led tours of our school and were allowed to see leadership at work in our classrooms.
