AR Readers Are Pet Pals 2007--2008 All first through third grade students at Thousand Oaks Elementary School have been bitten by our library book bug and are ready to spend this school year developing their love of reading. This year’s Accelerated Reader theme of Pet Pals encourages students to read to learn about being responsible with pets. Students who are reading independently are invited to become a Pet Pal. Pet Pals will be introduced on the morning program and will be invited to share what they have learned about pets.
