Students are recognized at the End-of-Year Award Ceremony for the following reasons:
●Superintendent’s Award (one student – 8th grade only)
●Principal’s Award (a boy and girl from each grade level)
●All year perfect attendance (all classes; all day)
●All 3 years Perfect Attendance (8th grade only)
●All Year ‘A’ Honor Roll – (first three nine-week grading periods; a student must have earned an ‘A’ in all of his/her classes)
●Duke Talent Search (invited 7th graders who took the SAT and receive State or National Recognition)
●Club Officers (NJHS, NJAHS, Student Council, SLIA, Young Historians, Red Cross, etc)
●District Academic U.I.L. Team
●Scholar Athletes (7th and 8th grade boy and girl)
●Region Band, Choir, or Orchestra
●DTWT (Do the Write Thing)
●PVSA (Presidential Service Volunteer Award)
Students are also recognized separately at the end of the year in the following areas. These awards are determined by their sponsors.
Silver Star Award
The Silver Star Ceremony is a special time to recognize some of our outstanding T-Wolves. There will be a fall ceremony and a spring ceremony. Each academic teacher will nominate one student for the Silver Star Award. The teacher will select one student to be recognized for one of the following categories: service, leadership, academic excellence, citizenship, and sportsmanship/character.
Parents of students who are receiving awards will be notified.
