Awards & Recognitions |

Tejeda is one of the few middle schools that recognize student achievement at all grade levels. We hold an end-of-year award ceremony in each grade because we feel these students deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments and leadership during the school year. The 8th grade award ceremony is held the evening prior to the last day of school. The award ceremonies for students in grades six and seven are held during the final day of school. Students are recognized at the End-of-Year Award Ceremony for the following reasons: ●Superintendent’s Award (one student – 8th grade only) Students are also recognized separately, at the end of the year, in the following areas. These awards are determined by their sponsors. ●Band Silver Star Award – (each grade level) Twice a year (in the fall and spring) students, nominated by their teachers, receive the Silver Star Award. Two students per team are nominated in the areas of Service, Leadership, Academic Excellence, Citizenship, and Character/Sportsmanship. Parents of those students receiving an award will be notified and invited to the Silver Star Award Ceremony.
