National Jr. Art Honor Society

A student-run organization for kids in 7th & 8th grade who have a serious love of art and want to further explore art concepts outside of class. Must have had a t least one semester of art or currently enrolled.

Think link scientists and engineers! Have fun experimenting through hands-on learning to overcome obstacles! Open to 6-8 through application process. We use LEGO Mindstorm NXT robotic kits and computer software.

A fun way to learn about the Spanish language as well as Spanish and Hispanic culture! We also celebrate different holidays and cultural aspects!

Student Council

Leadership in school and community! We run the school store, sell concessions at home games, organize school dances and participate in campus and community activities.

T-Wolves Against Bullies

Viking Club

Grades 6 - 8. Explore various aspects of Norse life. To learn what the term 'viking' actually means and to learn and discuss modern beliefs about Vikings versus what the Vikings were really like.

Wolves of the World

Sponsor: Mrs. Benson & Ms. Velez

Wolves of the World is a cultural experience just waiting to happen! This club meets twice a month to explore the arts, food, activities and language of regions around the world to create an environment of tolerance and understanding world cultures. WOW will also be participating in the annual History Faire and Culture Fest that is held every spring on Tejeda's History Hill. The club is open to all students.

Young Historians

Sponsors: Mrs. Baumann, Mrs. Pollock, Mrs. Castellanos & Mr. Guzman

The Tejeda Young Historians are comprised of students from grades 6, 7, and 8 who love history and hands on learning. Meetings are held on History Hill. Students participate in activities ranging from medieval games to planting plants on the hill. Guest speakers, re-enactors and community experts are frequent visitors to share information with students on various subjects and time periods in history. The Young Historians play a huge part in putting on the History Faire and Culture Fest in April every year.
