We have received "Exemplary" or "Recognized" status from The Texas Education Agency every year of our existence. We have a "hands on" approach to curriculum. The quote "I hear, and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand" exemplifies our teaching philosophy. Our goal is to meet the needs of all students. We provide a program for our gifted students which is called Gifted and Talented Program, and we also have all levels of special education. Our Parent Volunteer Program has over 300 active participants! We feel fortunate to have a community that is so interested and involved in the education of our young people. It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the Principal of Stone Oak Elementary School. As a graduate of North East Independent School District, I know it is one of the finest districts in the state of Texas. I appreciate the support our students and staff receive from the district office level. It is a joy to come to work each day to be surrounded by some of the most talented and committed teachers in the business. The students are filled with a zest for learning because of the value placed on education in their homes. I welcome you to come for a visit and take a look for yourself at the happy learners and educators! Stone Oak--- Four walls with tomorrow inside!
