Faculty and Staff 2016-2017
Welcome to “The Ranch”

Who We Are

We are a faculty and staff that strive to produce students that are prepared to take advantage of the many opportunities that are part of the near and distant future. We come to work with consistency and we deliver classroom instruction with intent. We believe that ALL students can make academic progress so we focus on improving, updating and executing teaching practices and approaches that meet the needs of the current generation and beyond.

New to “The Ranch”?

We invite you to stop by and visit with the administration to learn more about Steubing Ranch. Our goal is to get to know you and to connect you with the many opportunities our campus has to offer. We also have a small token of appreciation that indicates that you are part of the community and campus we serve.

Parents

Instructional time at Steubing Ranch is extremely valuable and we guard the time we spend delivering quality instruction to our students. Therefore, we would appreciate your support by adhering to our school hours. We open our doors at 7:00 A.M. and breakfast is served from 7:00 to 7:30 A.M daily. Our daily announcements begin at 7:35 A.M. and instruction begins promptly at 7:40 A.M. Tardy bell rings at 7:40 A.M., but students not arriving on time have lost the privilege of becoming familiar with school events and celebrations that are delivered by our Media Club. The instructional day ends at 2:40 P.M. except for the days designated as early release.

Testimonials

"Good morning Mr. Guillen,

We have a student that attends Steubing Ranch and loves it there so my husband and I were hoping to donate funds to help in some areas. God has blessed us and we would like to pay that forward...we don't have much but would like to give $100.00 to cover and help with any library fees or lunch account fees that children have acquired. Please let us know if this would be welcomed and if so, who to make the check out to.

Thank you so much and have a great day, sir!"

"We have been incredibly blessed to be a part of the Steubing Ranch Elementary community. The administrators, teachers, and staff are so dedicated to the education and well being of every student. The families are incredibly involved- donating thousands of volunteer hours every year. I cannot imagine a more nurturing learning atmosphere for an elementary school. Thank you Steubing Ranch!"

Sincerely ,
Tricia Lockman

"Thank you again for all of what you do for our kids. Pedro and Elizabeth had enjoyed this year so much and it is because of your support.  We are missionaries, for us is key that our kids are comfortable in their school to be sure that we are in the right place in ministry. Both of you are a big influence in that decision and therefore, you are contributing to serving in God's ministry through that. We are very thankful for your lives."

Bendiciones de Dios,

Mr. Guillen,

You don’t know me but I was the volunteer coordinator at SR before your time. My last year was the one in which Mrs. Holson retired. Every once in a while, a teacher comes along that really has a profound effect on a child’s life and I wanted to share with you that in our case it was Mrs. Gentry.

She saw in my grandson Michael a potential that he could excel beyond what he was achieving. She encouraged him to apply to the STEM program. He was accepted and has exceled in the program. This past eighth grade year, he achieved Advanced status in the History and Science STAAR, did well on his Algebra EOC and surpassed State and District requirements for Reading.

Because of Mrs. Gentry’s mentoring, he has found something that he loves so much that he is willing to put in the time and effort to stay in a very challenging program.

Our family will always be grateful for everything she has done for Michael.
