Recent legislative action during the 83rd Regular Session of the Texas
Legislature may change the content of this website as it applies to STAAR. All
students who enter the 9th grade in the 2011-2012 school year or later are
assessed under the STAAR system as mandated by the Texas Education Code (TEC).
