The Serna Student Council is made up of elected representatives from each classroom of third, fourth, and fifth graders.  It meets to organize and carry out school-wide activities that are of interest to the students.

These activities have included sponsoring a food drive for the San Antonio food bank and collecting stuffed toys for the Shelter for Battered Women, as well as sending candy and cards at Christmas and Valentine's Day to senior citizens in a retirement home.  

Students raise money through the school store to meet their particular goals and help with ongoing school projects.
