All fourth grade Serna students are eligible to become library aides.  These hard working student volunteers give up their recess time daily to shelve books, dust bookcases, and assist in assorted tasks that help the Library run efficiently.  Not only are they performing "School Community Service," but they are practicing alphabetizing skills and reading decimals.  One perk of the job is that these kids become very familiar with the materials in the Library collection and know how to locate the really good books!
