Safe and Drug-Free Schools
Advisory Councils

The district Safe and Drug-Free Schools Advisory Council includes representtives of local government, business, teachers, pupil personnel services, state agencies, private schools, the medical profession, law enforcement, parents, students, and other groups with interest and expertise in violence prevention. The Safe and Drug-Free Schools Advisory Council meets regularly and provides assistance with program planning and the annual Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act application. Each high school has a Safe and Drug-Free Advisory Council to help with program planning and implementation.
