SOCIOLOGY

Sociology is a semester long course in which you have the opportunity to discover new things about our society, our world, and our selves. Sociology will provide you with lessons and analysis of the society we live in and how society interacts with individuals and groups. The course involves reading, notes and homework, but also activities, interaction, and experiments.

Our class time will be structured around multiple activities. These will vary depending on the topic and time available. The learning activities will include group projects, case studies, simulations, reading and discussion centered on inquiry, debate seminars, and lectures. Each student is required to take notes daily on class material since reading the text will usually be a homework assignment. All class notes and daily material must be kept in your notebook.
