CHARTER CAMPUS OR PROGRAM		EL (R)
APPLICATION TIME LINE	The Superintendent will advertise in August an informational meeting for anyone expressing interest in establishing a charter campus or charter program to begin the following school year. The Superintendent or designee will meet with interested parents and teachers to discuss proposals for a charter campus and/or charter program. In October, applicants will submit a draft of the application to the Superintendent. The Superintendent or a designee will then assist the applicants in completing the application process. Prior to the final deadline, a public forum will be held to allow the applicants an opportunity to present their proposals to the com-munity and members of the Board and to respond to questions about their proposals. Final applications and petitions for a campus charter or campus program charter must be submitted to the District prior to January 1 for a charter to be considered for the following school year. The Board will consider all charter applications and petitions at a March meeting.
